❤️‍🩹My cast is off and the healing & recovery begin! ❤️‍🩹A week ago today I was freed from my cast. Little did I know that the aftermath of being locked 🔒 in a cast for 11 weeks would be so intense! I wasn’t truly prepared for the struggle. ✋My hand and fingers are very stiff, swollen and painful. I can’t make a complete fist or flatten my hand yet. Because I had a complicated break my supination and pronation of my wrist/arm is the greatest challenge. I have lost strength and muscle tone in my forearm & triceps and my shoulder is locked up from doing all the work the past 11 weeks! ❤️As you can see I have a long road to recovery! The mental game is SO IMPORTANT to this healing journey. A positive mindset is key 🔑 when facing daily struggles. Focusing on gratitude, positive affirmations, prayer, meditation and deep breathing have always been a part of my morning routine, but now more than ever, I am leaning on these tools throughout the days & evenings! ➡️➡️➡️SWIPE to see what I am doing to help myself ease into this rehab and recovery phase with strength, patience, faith, and hope! 💪I am not allowed to lift anything heavier than a plastic water bottle for the first two weeks; so mobility work and one arm training continue! 💪❤️💪The goal is to train smart, trust the process and heal well so that I will hang onto lifelong movement, strength & mobility! 🥰Wishing you all a Magical Monday and a Wonderful week ahead! 💪❤️💪Let’s rock this week! 🥰Keep up the amazing work and thank you all for the beautiful encouragement and support! ❤️I appreciate you all! #injuryrecovery #myhealingjourney #barefoottraining #gettingbettereveryday #mindsetmatters
Hong Kong pro-democracy campaigner Joshua Wong's time in prison has been extended after a court Thursday meted out a 10-year sentence over a second national security conviction. Wong became the face of Hong Kong's now-decimated pro-democracy movement when he was a teenager, and entered prison for the first time at 23. He turned 30 last month. In September, he pleaded guilty to conspiring with fellow activists to invite foreign sanctions against China and Hong Kong in 2020 – the year Beijing introduced the city's National Security Law, which led to a crackdown on dissent, the shuttering of vocal news outlets, and the dissolution of civic groups. In the latest case, prosecutors accused Wong of conspiring with others to lobby the United States and other countries to sanction China and Hong Kong, prior to the law's imposition. Wong is already serving 4 years and 8 months in prison, after pleading guilty in a landmark subversion trial in 2024. He was due for release in January. Calm on the outside, chaotic on the inside. 😵‍💫 At the center of this serene scene, stars bulge out at an unusual angle. Astronomers think this is because the galaxy collected gas from an outside source – maybe a minor merger with another galaxy. #NASA #Galaxy #Space
Just a few hours before @SimuLiu made his first appearance at the Oscars of fashion—that is, the @CFDA Awards on Monday night—GQ joined the 37-year-old actor in his SoHo hotel room as he got ready. The process included: a metallic facial device (“I think it’s like a gua sha, but it’s cold,” he speculated), a plate of chicken tenders and fries, and a Diet Coke. Before hitting the red carpet wearing a @privatepolicyny fit, the actor chatted about his upcoming projects, his history with fashion, and the idea of becoming a director.
