Paris! With dear friends- we met in Paris wed 14 Oct, to stay in a beautiful Airnb. We heard murmurings of the demonstration on Sat- and stayed close to home.
We have been walking the city and after 2 nights of unrest - it is amazing to see the bakeries open.
Many shops were vandalized in the Marais and Las Halles, and around our neighbourhood- now being repaired.
E. Dehillerin and Samaritaine Rive Gauche were on my list.
Last night there was a curfew in our neighbourhood- we will see what the day brings. 😌

What an interesting time to be in Paris. Years ago we were in Athens during protests against austerity and people back up,e were so worried for us based upon when they saw in the media. Yet in the city life carried on. Like you say - the bakeries opened and pumped out treats. It will take more than a protest to get between a Parisienne and a baguette!
