One of the best parts of being your MP is meeting local business owners and learning their stories: a family that built something from the ground up, employees who show up each day, and parents working hard to provide for their children. These businesses support the wider community, creating jobs and opportunities that communities like ours rely on.
The Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI) is about more than funding equipment or helping businesses grow. It’s about standing alongside the people and families behind these businesses, protecting local jobs, and helping our communities face economic uncertainty with greater support.
When we support local business, we support the people who make our communities what they are.
Congratulations to all 10 businesses from Eastern Ontario, including 3 from Peterborough, receiving over $6 million from the RTRI program. I was delighted to make this announcement on behalf of Minister @evanljsolomon at @kawarthametals
