🇮🇹❤️ Italy: An Adventure of a Lifetime! 🍷🥂
What an incredible way to celebrate Heather's 50th birthday!
From exploring the historic streets of Rome to getting lost in the magic of Venice and Florence, and sipping wine among the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany, this trip gave us memories we'll cherish for a lifetime.
We stood in awe of the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Michelangelo's David, the magnificent Duomo, the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. We wandered through Piazza San Marco, glided through Venice's canals on a gondola, and ate more than our fair share of gelato. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was the people we met along the way. We encountered so many kind and helpful Italians, made new friends from America, and met couples who welcomed us into conversations and shared their wisdom. One couple had been married for more than 40 years and offered us some marriage advice. Another couple helped turn a stressful train mishap into a positive memory. It's amazing how a little kindness from strangers can become such a meaningful part of a journey.
But beyond the incredible sights, the food, the wine, and the adventures, there was something even more special about this trip.
There was the laughter — hours of it, until our stomachs hurt. There was the teamwork of navigating unfamiliar cities, figuring out transportation, and working through the occasional mishap. And there were hours of holding
