I LOVE this series!! š„ It has the perfect mix of suspense, drama, and spice, and this one was such a fun ride!
Meet Logan, an independent, resilient woman who is fiercely loyal to the people she loves, and Smoke, her best friendās dad. Yup, you read that right! And Smoke? He falls fast. Being an older man who knows what he wants, he has no problem going after itā¦ and what he wants is Logan!
After discovering her fiancĆ© has been cheating on her, Logan spirals and ends up getting arrested for public urination with her bestie, Tavi. Naturally, they call Taviās dad to bail them out. Logan decides sheās done with her fiancĆ© and is ready for a fresh start in Texas with Tavi. But when Tavi has to fly back for work, Logan is left to make the road trip with Smoke. And you can imagine how quickly things heat up! A little forced proximity, best friendās dad, and ONE BED? Oh yeah, weāre in for a fun ride! š„
The story kept me hooked from beginning to end. Emma Slate brings together suspense, drama, romance, and spice in a way that just WORKS. Itās entertaining, well written, and exactly why I enjoy this series so much!
Now, letās talk narration! This was my first time listening to Helena Walters, and she was incredible. She gave each character a distinct voice and really brought out Loganās emotions. I loved watching Logan grow and evolve throughout the story.
Troy Duran was fantastic as always! He knows how to deliver that tough MC biker energy while also bringing out the devoted gentleman underneath. When Troy narrates, you know youāre in for a great performance!
Do yourself a favor and listen to this series if you havenāt already. This one delivered on all fronts, and I loved every minute!
