I love getting more more more because everything she does really grows on me but if I were her I agree I would do a main album - 12 or 13 songs - of the best of the best for a really solid album and not so superfluous. The problem is that I genuinely believe she has bad taste in choosing which songs she releases. We see this with Dedicated Side B just totally outshining Side A, we almost never got Cut To The Feeling, and for some reason YES was relegated to Japanese Bonus Track despite being one of her best songs of this era. So sometimes I’m like … release it all because she keeps her best gems in the attic. See: Disco Darling

Let Carly be Carly! It’s part of her charm that she song dumps!!! I love it.

Huh .. the album is fine. Perhaps she should have separated Day & Night as their own releases but 24 tracks is nothing. Masterpiece!

it’s the perfect amount of songs. Maybe i am just biased coz I love Carly but I love the entire album and the super deluxe one

I don't know where the anger of the people comes from, her projects are usually that long just presented in a different way lol

I have grown to not enjoy folksier songs from artist it doesn’t truly sound well with. But I could’ve gone without almost every deluxe track bar Yes and including the deletion of songs like Wild Child, Blue Skies, and That’s Just Me. I prefer a long album over a short album because I hate the album (MFF/Estrus are examples of albums that would’ve been better with multiple 3min30sec songs; Sexistential IMO is the only pop album this year that felt like the 28 min run time works for it) that exists to be 30-33mins with no true full story to be told. Carly could’ve condensed it or done a Fall Day side and Spring Night side but it wouldn’t have hit as hard being a 40min singular album because the flow between songs like “Just a Little Walk on The Moon” and “Never Let a Good Die” would be disconnected. It’s best to listen to Day and Night as bits that meld together but not the full album unless you want the digestive listen. (Versailles->You Don’t Know How it Feels->Super Sage type of listen) I blame our waning attention spans and need for instantly hits for the death of long form album content. But to eaches own, everyone has their personal preferences and the flavors we like are the flavors we like.

Give me 32 more tracks, tbh. It’s a skipless project and we are being fed!

I feel like if you genuinely listen to Day and Night as seperate albums, it becomes much easier. I almost wish she had released them as two separate albums as well.

I prefer music in bite size amounts. My brain (and ears) get overwhelmed.
