MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT JON GREEN :
After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision that I won’t be nominating for President or a committee position at Easts Tigers in 2027.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved over the past two years. To have had the privilege of leading this great club through its 75th year is something I’ll always cherish.
When I took on the role, my goal was simple: to make a difference and leave the club in a better position for the next generation of Tigers. I believe we’ve achieved that and built some strong foundations for the future.
I’ve always believed that if you’re going to commit to something, you give it 100%. I can no longer give this volunteer role the time it deserves, and I don’t want to put that burden on others. For me, if I’m not all in, I’m out.
As most people know, the Greens always have plenty going on, and it’s time for Jodie and me to focus more on our family and businesses.
A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me over my four years on the committee and the last two as President. To our committee, volunteers, coaches, managers, sponsors and families, none of this would have been possible without you.
We’re all just custodians of this great club for a short time. Our job is to leave it stronger for those who come next. I’m proud to have played my part.
THE CLUB NEEDS YOU FOR 2027!
We’re calling for nominations from people willing to step up and help lead Easts Tigers into its next chapter.
A club like Easts doesn’t run on its own. It takes people willing to give their time, make decisions and get things done. We’ve built some great momentum, but that only continues if others are prepared to step forward.
Don’t assume someone else will do it. If you want to see this club continue to grow, now is your chance to be part of it.
Important dates:
Before Monday 7 December 2026: Nominations must be submitted to [email protected]
Monday 14 December 2026: The 2026 committee will vote on nominations for the 2027 committee at its meeting.
