Wednesday Waffling about invisible disability. Just because you can't see someone's disability it doesn't mean it's not there. Living with MS means constant pain, numbness and brain fog but just because I deal with these and other symptoms on a daily basis it doesn't mean I can't enjoy dressing up, going out and enjoying life.

Such an accurate description of what it’s really like living with MS. It’s so important to keep raising awareness for the invisible sides of this journey. Sending so much support your way. ✨🧡

Totally, totally agree ! My dear friend who has passed away now had ms . When she was still using her 4 wheeled walker I took@her to B&Q , the disabled spaces were near the shop but you had to cross where cars came past . She was registered blind and her mobility was very slow with the 4 wheel walker , so I parked in the mother and child places , near to the shop door, no roadway to cross . I no sooner pulled into the space when a man banged on my car window so hard it was terrifying. He verbally abused us . When we got in to the store I spoke to a manger to explain disabled spaces should be near the store as often wheelchairs and walkers are required. I have had 2 children, if the car parking had been available then I would consider it reasonable to have allocated spaces but if I had to cross where cars came past it’s my responsibility to look after my children , hold their hands, keep them in a pushchair or whatever. But a disability is different , often time and space is needed . So totally agree with you that people need to be tolerant , not every disability is visible and also you never know when you might be in that position. I wish you well , keep moving, keep smiling and be kind to yourself on “ not so good days “ ….. that always sounds better than a bad day xxxx

I do enjoy your Wednesday Waffles and this weeks subject matters a great deal. People are so quick to judge and slow to help… Not all I must add but regretfully more and more.

What an excellent point 👏 I have had inflammatory arthritis since my 40’s in particularly hands, shoulders and knees, I need the disability loo because I need the higher loo and grab rails. I have had the odd look from people. If they knew the planning that it takes to go out for a day or a few days away…
