My rock, my life, my reason for being. The greatest gift is being your daughter and carrying everything you taught me. The strength you ingrained in me, the knowledge, the love, the perseverance. I could go on forever. The value you brought to my life is eternal. It is a forever kind of love, one of such rarity that you simply cannot find anywhere else. I love you, Dad. Your legacy lives on. 10/24/26. 💔
CHRIS ADLER — LAMB OF GOD ERA! 🥁🔥 When we talk about drummers who helped DEFINE the sound of modern heavy metal, CHRIS ADLER absolutely belongs in that conversation! His work with LAMB OF GOD is a masterclass in SPEED, PRECISION, GROOVE, and rhythmic CREATIVITY. But one thing I’ve always found FASCINATING about Chris is his approach to CYMBALS! In a genre where drummers often gravitate toward MASSIVE cymbals, Chris took a DIFFERENT approach. His setups featured smaller cymbals, including 8” and 12” SPLASHES and 14” CRASHES. And here’s what I absolutely LOVE. Chris would actually RIDE on SPLASH CYMBALS during some of Lamb of God’s HEAVIEST sections! Instead of the sustained WASH of a huge crash, those smaller cymbals delivered a TIGHT, ARTICULATE sound that cut through the distorted guitars. Of course, he wasn’t afraid to go BIG either. The man also played a MASSIVE 24” RIDE! And that SNARE DRUM! His 12” x 5.5” Mapex Black Panther produced that unmistakable, cutting CRACK that became such an important part of his sound. Combine those choices with his intricate double-bass patterns and syncopated grooves, and you get something instantly RECOGNIZABLE. Go listen to “Ruin,” “Laid to Rest,” “Redneck,” or “Walk with Me in Hell.” Some absolutely NASTY drum parts! But what makes Chris so important to me isn’t just his TECHNIQUE. It’s that he developed a recognizable MUSICAL IDENTITY. The cymbal choices. The snare sound. The intricate kick patterns. The way his grooves lock in with those CRUSHING guitar riffs. You hear it, and you KNOW who’s behind the kit. And THAT is one of the hardest things to accomplish as a musician. So much has already been done that finding your OWN sound can feel almost IMPOSSIBLE. But when you stay true to YOURSELF and YOUR musical tastes instead of constantly chasing what everyone else is doing, something truly PERSONAL can emerge. Chris Adler is PROOF of that! 🥁🔥 What’s YOUR favorite Chris Adler drum performance? #drums #drumvideo #metaldrummer #lambofgod #chrisadler

“How could it be addiction if it was an affair with the same person?” For the longest time, I couldn’t understand how my husband’s secret affair—and what spiraled into a double life—could be connected to addiction. Looking back now, I recognize moments that pointed to a much deeper pattern of compulsive behavior. At the time, I didn’t know what I was seeing. In this episode of Her, Rebuilt., I share some of those raw, deeply personal moments. I actually published it, then took it down. I worried I had shared too much. That our darkest moments were too personal to put into the world. But my heart kept coming back to the woman listening who might recognize something in our story. Who might feel less alone. Who might find the right help sooner than I did. Addiction doesn’t erase accountability or lessen the devastation of betrayal. But understanding what we were facing helped us find the support we needed. That’s why I’m choosing to share. 🤍 Comment POD and I’ll send you the latest episode. And if you need a space to feel heard and supported, join my free women’s Zoom group this Sunday at 4 PM ET.Comment GROUP for the link. You don’t have to carry this alone. #betrayal #betrayaltrauma #affairrecovery #cheating #sexaddiction
