Today marks 1 year sober from weed.

I went from smoking daily to escape my emotions to quitting cold turkey and never looking back.

Releasing that vice forced me to confront everything I had been avoiding. No distractions, no escape, just me and everything I had suppressed.

And the crazy part? It didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I convinced myself it would.

I spent so much time running from emotions that were simply asking to be felt.

Turns out, my healing was waiting on the other side of what I kept avoiding.

It was actually good grief. 🖤
