Even though President Trump is ordering federal officers and the military to voting locations, and even though that action is illegal, those following these illegal orders are not immune from a life changing outcome — prison...

Every since the Civil War, we have prohibited this kind of voter intimidation...the law is clear : “Whoever, being an officer of the Army or Navy, or other person in the civil, military, or naval service of the United States, orders, brings, keeps, or has under his authority or control any troops or armed men at any place where a general or special election is held, unless such force be necessary to repel armed enemies of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both; and be disqualified from holding any office of honor, profit, or trust under the United States.” (18 U.S.C. § 592)

Please know this statute...I’ve created a very simple info graphic you can print and take with you...if you encounter ANY armed officer or military presence, record their name, rank, branch, and thank them for their service other than this...show them the statute and ask the polling supervisor to request they be removed...

Our democracy is on the line when the President can intimidate and create chaos around voting...be prepared as this WILL likely happen to many of us...
