🎬 THE ROCK IS COMPLETELY UNRECOGNIZABLE IN ‘LIZARD MUSIC’
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson looks like a completely different person.
New photos from the New York set of Benny Safdie’s upcoming film Lizard Music show Johnson transformed into The Chicken Man, a quirky man in his 70s—complete with gray hair, facial prosthetics, wrinkles and a dramatically slimmer physique.
The transformation was created by legendary makeup artist Kazu Hiro, with Johnson undergoing roughly five hours of makeup and prosthetic work every day.
Johnson also significantly slimmed down for the role after previously bulking up to portray MMA fighter Mark Kerr in Safdie’s The Smashing Machine.
So… what exactly is Lizard Music?
Based on Daniel Pinkwater’s 1976 children’s novel, the live-action/CGI hybrid follows a young boy who discovers a mysterious late-night television broadcast featuring lizards playing otherworldly music.
His search for answers leads him to The Chicken Man and his elderly chicken companion, Claudia, sending the pair on a bizarre and fantastical adventure.
Johnson previously described Safdie’s vision for the movie as:
“Willy Wonka but from the mind of Benny Safdie.”
Yeah… we’re definitely curious now. 😂
Lizard Music is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2027.
