This used to be the way.

There was no grocery store.

You and your neighbors were the store.

We used to tend to the Earth in such a way that money never existed. Everything was based upon giving and receiving to the Earth, its land and its animals in the most beautiful way.

Alas, we are still in a monetary system, but I don’t mind because at least I know that my money is supporting my neighbor. That is how you support your community, in one of its many forms.

Today I bought my first dozen eggs from my neighbor at dusk, and I couldn’t be happier in this moment.
