CHRIS ADLER — LAMB OF GOD ERA! 🥁🔥 When we talk about drummers who helped DEFINE the sound of modern heavy metal, CHRIS ADLER absolutely belongs in that conversation! His work with LAMB OF GOD is a masterclass in SPEED, PRECISION, GROOVE, and rhythmic CREATIVITY. But one thing I’ve always found FASCINATING about Chris is his approach to CYMBALS! In a genre where drummers often gravitate toward MASSIVE cymbals, Chris took a DIFFERENT approach. His setups featured smaller cymbals, including 8” and 12” SPLASHES and 14” CRASHES. And here’s what I absolutely LOVE. Chris would actually RIDE on SPLASH CYMBALS during some of Lamb of God’s HEAVIEST sections! Instead of the sustained WASH of a huge crash, those smaller cymbals delivered a TIGHT, ARTICULATE sound that cut through the distorted guitars. Of course, he wasn’t afraid to go BIG either. The man also played a MASSIVE 24” RIDE! And that SNARE DRUM! His 12” x 5.5” Mapex Black Panther produced that unmistakable, cutting CRACK that became such an important part of his sound. Combine those choices with his intricate double-bass patterns and syncopated grooves, and you get something instantly RECOGNIZABLE. Go listen to “Ruin,” “Laid to Rest,” “Redneck,” or “Walk with Me in Hell.” Some absolutely NASTY drum parts! But what makes Chris so important to me isn’t just his TECHNIQUE. It’s that he developed a recognizable MUSICAL IDENTITY. The cymbal choices. The snare sound. The intricate kick patterns. The way his grooves lock in with those CRUSHING guitar riffs. You hear it, and you KNOW who’s behind the kit. And THAT is one of the hardest things to accomplish as a musician. So much has already been done that finding your OWN sound can feel almost IMPOSSIBLE. But when you stay true to YOURSELF and YOUR musical tastes instead of constantly chasing what everyone else is doing, something truly PERSONAL can emerge. Chris Adler is PROOF of that! 🥁🔥 What’s YOUR favorite Chris Adler drum performance? #drums #drumvideo #metaldrummer #lambofgod #chrisadler

Forever grateful for my Mom and Dad. ❤️ I don’t think I’ll ever fully be able to explain what this moment meant to me. My parents are my biggest cheerleaders, and their hugs yesterday were something I had been looking forward to for all 26.2 miles. My dad is about to turn 89. My mom is 77. And there they were, cheering me on at the finish line of the New York City Marathon. I know how lucky I am (and don’t take it for granted) to have them here, to have their support, to hug them, and to share a day like this together. At 43, there’s still something about seeing your mom and dad at the end of something challenging that makes you feel like their little girl again. Looking for their faces amongst thousands. So happy just knowing they’re there. Mom and Dad, thank you for a lifetime of showing up for me. Getting to put my arms around you yesterday is a memory I’ll carry for the rest of my life. 🥹❤️ #newyorkcitymarathon See you on the road 🏃‍♀️ Victoria

The most reassuring kind of love is knowing that one difficult moment won’t make someone walk away. Being in a relationship isn’t about smiling all the time or agreeing on everything. There will be misunderstandings, emotional conversations, and moments when one person needs a little more patience than usual. What truly matters is having a partner who cares enough to understand what’s wrong, even when expressing those feelings isn’t easy. Someone who doesn’t immediately turn a disagreement into a competition, dismiss your emotions, or make you feel like you’re too difficult to love. Real emotional intimacy comes from feeling safe enough to be vulnerable. It’s knowing that you can have a bad day, express your frustrations, and still be treated with kindness and respect. A loving partner understands that being upset doesn’t always mean wanting to be left alone. Sometimes, what you need most is reassurance, a meaningful conversation, or simply someone willing to stay and listen. Of course, healthy love also means respecting boundaries and giving each other space when needed. Because the strongest relationships aren’t built on never having problems. They’re built on two people who genuinely care about understanding each other and finding their way through difficult moments together. Save this reminder or share it with someone who makes you feel safe, understood, and loved.
