October is a month Iā€™ll look back on with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. This month has brought joy and pain, some physical for me (Maggie in the marsh and oyster cuts as a result, massive burns from stupid curling irons and leash tangles causing wrist tears) and some emotional (standing over my mom watching her body try to fight a 105.6 fever is something that will haunt me until the day that I die). But, we lived to see November. We literally thrived and then just survived this month. And the longer Iā€™m on this earth the more that I find Iā€™m a student of that rhythm. We all are. If Iā€™ve learned nothing else, and if I could pass on only one lesson from these 46 years on the planet, let it be this. No matter how good youā€™ve got it or how bad your life feels right now, nothing lasts forever. It never gets easier and stays easier. Happiness is truly found in navigating both periods of your life with grace, as much grace as you can muster, for yourself and those around you. Thatā€™s something Iā€™m still working on. And, to be completely honest, Iā€™m crap at it but Iā€™m trying. This was Octoberā€¦ (Never been happier to hear Mariah Carey at midnight on November 1st).

HU Staff: Ariela AnĆs @ari.anis TEXAS TURNS BLUE! Texas made history tonight during the 2026 midterm elections as James Talarico defeats Ken Paxton to become the stateā€™s first Democratic U.S. Senator in 38 years and Gina Hinojosa defeats Gregg Abbott becomes the first Latina Governor and the stateā€™s first Democratic Governor in 36 years. Hinojosa is Mexican-American. ___________________________________________________ The voters in Texas were NOT playing as they helped Democrats flip the power, not only in the House of Representatives, but also help flip Texasā€™ Senate seat and Governor seat blue. Talarico and Hinojosa broke the Democratsā€™ three-decade losing streak as they prepare to take over the Senate and Governor seats in 2027. ___________________________________________________ Talaricoā€™s historic win helped the Democrats flip the Senate from Republican control ā€” which followed news of Dems flipping the House of Representatives. Ultimately, resulting in the Democrats gaining full control of the United States Congress. ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bioĀ for full story šŸ“ø CNN
Some stories are written in moments, others are kept in memories. Mine found its way into this dress, where every detail holds a little meaning and every thread carries a piece of our storyšŸ„¹ Thank you ciii @christiebasill , for understanding my story and turning it into something more beautiful than I could have imaginedšŸ„¹šŸ¤
