Iran’s left found out who was using whom when it was far too late to change course. Americans still have time to ask the question. Last night wasn’t one surprise win. The Democratic Socialists of America picked up at least five House seats, Michigan sent a senator to Washington who campaigned with Hasan Piker, and New York elected lawmakers who spent the last two years at encampments and Gaza rallies. Most voters didn’t choose any of this. They were angry at an unpopular president and the cost of living, and they voted for whoever had a D next to their name. That’s exactly how coalitions like this one get into power without anyone signing off on what they believe. The progressives cheering last night say they stand for women’s rights, gay rights and free speech. One day, they may realize this coalition was the beginning of the end of those rights. 🗽 I created Basic Optimism to bring common sense back to the West. If you want to support this work, the Buy Me a Coffee link is in bio. Thank you for reading.
Polls are closed! Thank you to every New Yorker who stood with me. I'm grateful for your incredible support!
Hakeem Jeffries is a Zionist who calls Israel the 6th borough of NY, who opposes withholding military funding or aid to Israel, and who opposes Medicare for all. This is who @aoc & @nycmayor want to set the agenda for the House. Why are so many progressive bending the knee to a corporate Zionist AIPAC shill? And why are so many people optimistic about what Democrats will do while they’re in power when Jeffries is openly talking about how he’s not out to “get even” with Trump, meaning no accountability. Is this what his secret meeting with Jared Kushner was about?
