π‘©π’π’π’Œ: Demons and Diplomacy
𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓: Megan Frampton

π‘π’Šπ’“π’”π’• π‘»π’‰π’π’–π’ˆπ’‰π’•π’”:

A demon’s son, supernatural politics, a spicy romance, and a woman who’s basically a Victorian secret agent? Sign me up.

This was such a fun twist on paranormal romance. I liked Cora’s almost liaison-meets-secret-agent role and how seamlessly the author blended supernatural creatures into 1800s England. I had no idea it was set in the Victorian era, so some of the vocabulary threw me for a loop. Thank goodness for Google. The chemistry between our MCs was fantastic, things got spicy, and Cora’s friend group of supernatural creatures was such an endearing part of the story.

π‘Ίπ’šπ’π’π’‘π’”π’Šπ’”:

Welcome to Victorian England, where supernatural creatures live alongside humans, Queen Victoria is a vampire, and keeping the peace between species is no easy task. Cora Hastings works as a Species Ombudsman, handling supernatural disputes and navigating a world full of creatures with their own agendas.

But when the Devil arrives in London with his dangerously charming son, Marcellus, Cora finds herself caught up in a conspiracy that threatens the fragile balance between humans and the supernatural. With the Great Exhibition approaching, she’ll have to rely on her skills, her allies, and perhaps even the Devil’s son himself. Between political intrigue and undeniable chemistry, Cora might discover that negotiating with demons is complicated in more ways than one.

β€’ Power and political influence
β€’ Prejudice and coexistence
β€’ Loyalty and friendship
β€’ Identity and belonging
β€’ Trust and unlikely alliances
