In March 2025, I went into a studio in the Northern Cape, South Africa, carrying a weight that felt too heavy to bear. I was at my lowest point, dealing with severe anxiety and depression, feeling completely unseen by the world around me. In that silence, I turned my pain into music and wrote "Dai matisunungura."
This song is a unique fusion of Shona and Afrikaans, born out of a desperate prayer to God for deliverance and peace. Today, when I look back at that chapter, I don't see despair anymore ,I see the undeniable power of God that carried me through.
To anyone out there fighting battles in silence ,this song is for you. An inner voice taught me to trust the process and keep believing, because time truly holds beautiful things. "Dai matisunungura" will be Out soon. Thank you .
