I used to be scared. But it wasn’t actually fear of the gun, it was fear of the unknown.

Pro tip offer new shooters a revolver. Less complicated. I offer my Smith & Wesson 500 with a 4 inch barrel. With hot hand loads. 🤣🤣🤣

I was the same way starting out. My family and I agreed that I must take a firearms safety course before I get my first gun. I was nervous but I was excited at the same time. After a bit of training with a Ruger MKII and a Glock 17, I loved it. 22 is perfect for starting out. Now I am trap shooting almost every weekend and never hit below 20 and hit 25 of 25 twice. Luckily if I need it, I have a friend who’s been shooting for over 70 years to help or if I need an opinion on something new I want or anything like that. Plus when I got my 12 gauge I had a family friend help before I started trap. One of the big things that especially helps is when you have a great teacher
