Jewish activist Liz Benichou was reportedly shoved to the ground by a woman during a free speech event at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Benichou had questioned what would happen if the woman dressed the same way in Iran, where women’s freedoms are severely restricted. According to the account, the woman was arrested and allegedly screamed: “I SHOULD HAVE F****G KILLED YOU WHILE I HAD THE CHANCE!!” Social media reports describe the alleged attacker as a supporter of Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, although that connection remains unverified.
