SEIU likes to boast they have about 100k union members across the state. 5k of them were deemed "essential" and excluded from participating in striking. There is almost 250k of state workers in total (excluding CSU). So nearly 95k state employees took unpaid time off yesterday, thats about 38%, and the state kept on functioning as it always has. Meanwhile the public is now more aware of the bloat of government. Congratulations 👏😂
