A Florida man jumped into action as rising floodwaters trapped elderly neighbors inside their homes.

Rick Addante helped rescue his 80-year-old neighbor, who recently underwent open-heart surgery, and his dog, Bella, after floodwaters rose to knee level inside their Palm Bay home Monday.

Video shows Addante working alongside Florida wildlife officers to carry the man and his dog through flooded streets to a waiting airboat.
