The European Parliament’s annual Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought was set up in 1988 to honour those defending human rights, fundamental freedoms and democracy.
The ICC joins a long list of organisations and people whose work highlights the importance of protecting these rights around the world.
The award ceremony will take place on December in Strasbourg.

Very nice, but it would be better to refuse to comply with (and fight against instead) the sanctions that the Trump administration has imposed on several of its members, including European Union citizen Beti Hohler. ICC Judge Beti Hohler

Please! Help Albania! The prime minister is torturing his people. He is trying to prevent people from protesting peacefully. Seven of his cabinet ministers have been accused of corruption, involving billions of euros and connections with criminal gangs. They have massacred young people by shooting them with rubber and metal bullets in the face, eye, and other parts of the body. They have broken bones with rubber batons. They have imprisoned and beaten minors as well. Who can help the Albanians who are demanding their rights? The prime minister applies laws as he wishes, to the detriment of the people, doing whatever he pleases to maintain his political power. He is a dictator. 🙏
