Last week, I was in a funk… and I had to remind myself that sometimes, showing up for yourself starts with the smallest things.
We’re not always going to feel like ourselves. What matters is how we move through it. Sometimes, it starts with getting outside, moving our bodies, slowing down, and being present with our kids. Small steps can help us feel better and show up for ourselves and our families.
As the holiday season creeps in and life, family and business starts to feel chaotic, remember to make time for yourself, too. You matter just as much as everyone you care for.
It's okay to say no, it's okay to decline an invitation, have a messy house, shorten a trip, not take on a new client. If it doesn't feel aligned or you just don't have the capacity, it's okay to do what YOU want to do. You're not a machine, you're human. Live your life, set boundaries and do what makes you happy.
The next time you're in a funk, pause, breathe, move your body, tune inward and move through it.
