Surprise!
Okay not really. I had hoped to have book one fully drafted and ready for some dev edits by Halloween but alas... Tis not the case!
Having kids in school is rough. Not only for all the activities but the sick season has hit our house HARD! I swear I've gotten every little thing this year.
This month I have only written a total of about 3,000 words 🥴
Last month it was 6,000. August was 12,000. Shoot! I've been slacking! But hey, PTO season is coming up.
I'm trying to give myself grace and not get stressed about doing everything at once. But man, mommin', workin', writin', readin', and trying to have a semblance of a social life is so hard! Its just a game of "what ball am I dropping today?" And unfortunately, that's been writing. And by extension, content creation around my book.
THE GOOD STUFF: I figured out a LOT of my plot holes. I had alot of questions about how certain subjects connected, how to get from there to here, and how certain characters history played into the present timeline (DEEEP STUFFF) So I have been thinking about the book! Just not putting everything in the actual manuscript. Hopefully all that thought and planning will be paying off between now and the end of the year in the form of a FINISHED MANUSCRIPT!
