There are several new housing schemes happening across North Yorkshire, but will it be enough for the Labour government to meet its target of 1.5 million new homes in England by 2029?

They’re controversial because homeowners are pulling the ladder up and screwing over the up and coming generations who just want their share

If peoples jobs were close by these houses though then it might just make a little bit of sense however all the extra car journies wlll just add to the chaos on York and the surrounding area's roads. Unless there is a radical change in direction for the transport policy in this area its going to end in tears.

This against falling birth rates and rising youth unemployment. Rising inflation and interest rates. Makes sense.

Homes before “student” residencies ? Developers just build what will bring them the best return on their investment. Never mind the infrastructure. And the market for apartments has collapsed. Loads empty in York.
