A 1928 book on Kashmir’s hidden Tantric traditions. And it’s finally being rediscovered. Meet Kalasankarshini Satisar, a rare text exploring Kashmir’s Krama tradition, the Twelve Kalis and the mystery of Samvid (Supreme Consciousness). The Krama tradition offers a fascinating understanding of Kali, time, transformation and consciousness. This book opens a window into a lesser-known chapter of Kashmir’s philosophical and spiritual heritage. V I P E R S Q U A Y - S M A L L B A T H R O O M D E S I G N | This is the smallest bathroom at Vipers Quay measuring about 1.3m deep x 2-2.1m across. I’m deploying all the tricks of the trade to give the illusion of more space: - a clear floor - loo & sink off the floor - continuous floor into shower - running floor tiles up the wall to blur boundaries - continuing the wall finish / colour onto the ceiling for the same reason - a large mirror to reflect the room and bounce light around - a continuous ledge into the shower The material palette is light and warm with movement and interest from the Venetian facade stucco (great for mould also) and the soft terrazzo. Little touches of wood will be important too. The muted but bold aΓ§aΓ coloured radiator will be a lovely focal point My source list for this bathroom so far is (some pr gifts): Towel rail - Alessandra from @theradiatorcentre Venetian facade from @whitsonsltd Tiles @domustiles Brassware @coalbrook_official
Meet the newest addition to @thehappykittyrescue 🌼 I went into the shelter today planning to rescue another kitty… but then this girl caught my eye. She looked so defeated, terrified, and incredibly sick. She was set to be euthanized in just 1 hour. Her story is heartbreaking. She first arrived at the shelter back in April as an adorable 8-week-old kitten. She was treated for mites and adopted the very next day. Yesterday, nearly 7 months later, she was brought back to the same shelter in this condition πŸ’” My heart broke for her. As you can see, she’s quite hissy, but I think she’s just so scared and in pain right now. We’re currently at the vet to assess her condition and figure out what’s going on. I’ll share more as soon as we know. In the meantime, if you’re able and would like to contribute towards her care, you can donate through the link in my bio. Every dollar helps. We’re so grateful for your support πŸ™πŸ’•
There is hope πŸ™Œ
