Do you think cycling fitness translates to running fitness?

Yesterday I ran the Polish Independence Run 10K almost 3 minutes slower than last year🇵🇱

Last year, running was my priority. This year, I’ve been cycling 100–150+ miles a week and running just 1–2 times a week.

My conclusion? Cycling definitely helps build and maintain aerobic fitness, but it doesn’t fully replace running-specific training.

Runners who also cycle: do you agree??

Follow along for realistic endurance fueling tips as I try to get stronger on the bike and now faster at running 😂

I have a weird thing with cycling and running, i can run a 3:03 1k, but i am not even close to a sub 20 5k and if i try to run longer than 90 min my legs give up, but i can cycle 180k in one day as if it was nothing

4-6 weeks out from a road race I always reduce bike 50-60% and then increase race specific training, which helps maintain/improve from prior baselines. From my experience this has helped me
