One year ago today, our kitchen finally got the glow-up she deserved! 🤍

After 9 years of little renovation projects, this was the one we'd been dreaming about!

Goodbye travertine countertops and backsplash. Hello beautiful new quartz countertops, brick backsplash, sink, and faucet!

For a little while, our laundry room became our makeshift kitchen. The flattop and Crock-Pot kept us fed, and of course, I still found a way to make things cute!

But one of my favorite parts of this renovation wasn't something you could see.

The night before installation, we asked our son, daughter, and daughter-in-law for their favorite Bible verses. We wrote them down along with our favorite quote from It's a Wonderful Life.

A little piece of our family, forever tucked beneath our countertops.

We chose quartz countertops and a brick backsplash with a German schmear finish. The herringbone design behind the stove is still my favorite detail

Fun little backstory… some of the brick was gifted to us by a friend, and it became the inspiration for our backsplash!

One year later, and I still love every little detail! Also, Handyman for Hire is the absolute BEST at all he does!
