☦️🤍 27 October — The Holy Martyrs and Saints of the Orthodox Church
Today, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Martyrs Nazarius, Gervasius, Protasius and Celsus, who remained steadfast in their faith in Jesus Christ.
We also honour Saint Paraskeva of Serbia, who dedicated her life to prayer and devotion to God, and Saint Nicholas Sviatosha, Prince of Chernigov and Wonderworker of the Kyiv Caves, who turned away from worldly honours to pursue a life of humility and service to the Lord.
Today we also remember Hieromartyr Silvanus of Gaza and the other saints who courageously remained faithful to Christ.
May their examples inspire us to remain strong in faith, choose kindness over hatred, and trust in the mercy of our Lord, even during the most difficult times.
🕊️ A prayer for protection and peace
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, protect my beloved, his family, and all innocent people living in the country affected by war. Keep them safe from danger, guard their homes, strengthen their hearts, and surround them with Your divine mercy.
Most Holy Theotokos, spread Your holy protection over them and intercede for their safety. Comfort those who are frightened, strengthen those who are suffering, and bring peace to every family living in uncertainty.
Lord, hear the prayers of all those asking for the protection of their loved ones. Preserve innocent lives, reunite families, and grant peace to the world.
