Lessons from @kaanopia: the canopy 🌳

Under the Baja sun, shade is survival. Ozzy walks us through how the canopy changes everything. The tall trees of the overstory catch the harshest light, creating shade for the understory below. That shade keeps the soil cool, holds moisture and lets smaller plants thrive where they otherwise couldn’t. Leaves fall, become mulch, and feed the whole system. No layer works alone. Each one protects the one beneath it.

As Xochiraíz begins building our own land, we’re showing up as perpetual students: learning from our friends and carrying those lessons home.
