Mikaā€™s birthday dinner!!šŸ˜šā¤ļø
HYROX BIRMINGHAM šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ’š What a day, what an experience! Im SO proud of us! I havenā€™t pushed myself like that for a long long time! Run total 8k - 38 mins 19 secs is phenomenal in itself for me because Iā€™m not the strongest runner! First girls in our category and 1 hour 10, 12 seconds šŸ‘šŸ¼šŸ’ŖšŸ¼ unreal! Absolutely gutted we got disqualified, when youā€™re blowing out your arse and so focused itā€™s easy to make a mistake and weā€™ve got to take it on the chin. When youā€™ve trained so hard for something and gave it everything you have on the day itā€™s really disheartening but thankfully we didnā€™t find out until after else I defo would have spat my dummy out before we finished. We added time on for ourselves on the sled pull because we thought we were done and we werenā€™t so we had to run back and do one last length which was fine but we wasted time. But then we thought farmers carry was the same as burpees and lunges but it wasnā€™t itā€™s 2 laps so we missed 1 lap of farmers carry which resulted in a disqualification šŸ˜£šŸ’”! Time wise it wouldnā€™t have made much difference and thatā€™s what we went for! Itā€™s the fastest weā€™ve ever done it, the best weā€™ve ever performed and Iā€™m proud of keeping up with my pocket rocket setting the running pace šŸ’ŖšŸ¼ If I can take anything from my first comp itā€™s to be a bit better connected with whatā€™s going on so I donā€™t make any mistakes again but we live & learn šŸ’š We had a fantastic day, our husbands and children were there cheering us on and weā€™ve raised a great amount of money for @macmillancancer šŸ’š Thankyou to everyone who donated and supported us. Onto the next šŸ”„
Itā€™s evermore season! šŸ‚šŸ¤Ž
