One of my favorite parts of growing Resilient Stories is getting to say yes when another organization is doing work that feels deeply aligned with ours.
We’re donating a Resilient Stories gift basket valued at approximately $400 to Operation Juliet’s 3rd Annual Red, White & Boots Ball on January 30.
Operation Juliet creates healing opportunities, connection, and community for female combat veterans, and there is something very full-circle about contributing a basket built around stories, creativity, reflection, and belonging.
The basket includes both volumes of Voices of Resilience, our mindful coloring journal, art supplies, tickets to a future Resilient Stories event, and a full storytelling interview and publishing package with me.
That last piece is especially meaningful.
Someone who wins this basket will have the opportunity to sit down with me, tell her story, have it professionally written and edited, and see it become part of Resilient Stories and a future anthology.
Because sometimes supporting a community looks like donating things.
And sometimes it looks like helping someone realize her story deserves somewhere to live.
I’m grateful Resilient Stories gets to do both.
