“Mom, why do you work on it upside down?” Ok, that’s attributing too much cognition to my little empty-noggin kitty (/affectionate), but why do I work on my tatreez upside down and turned around?

The short answer is “because it’s a tote bag” so it’s the only way to reach the inside of the fabric, but why not rotate the pdf?

I think I enjoy the mental challenge, exercising the spatial senses needed to count properly. Instead of right/left, I must think towards the edge/center, 3 spots away from the tip of the rose.

A shift in perspective can be fun, and good for breaking mental shortcuts. What is bias, after all, if not a mental shortcut?
