Congratulations to Premier-designate Lorne Doerksen on forming British Columbia’s next government. I have already had a productive conversation with the Premier-designate, and I have reached out to several of Vancouver’s newly elected MLAs, with more conversations to come in the days ahead.

Putting your name forward for public office takes courage and a real commitment to your community. I want to thank every candidate who ran in this election, and everyone who serves in elected office, for their dedication to British Columbia.

Vancouver has significant work ahead: building more housing, improving community safety, expanding transit and making life more affordable. Effective diplomacy between the City and the Province is essential to getting that work done, and I am committed to building those relationships from the outset.

I look forward to delivering results for the people of Vancouver.
