Steven Bernstein / The Stone / Weds, Oct 28 - Sat, Oct 31 Dude does everything, so he needs a residency to let the breadth of his vision unfold. Four nights will do for a start. We’ve already waxed posi re: the two-headed coin of the ResoNation Trio (impressionistic acoustic investigations) and their carnival mirror reflection Ultra Resonance (expressionistic moodtronica via Sir Scotty of Hard’s de/re-constructions). The only thing to add is that on 13th Street, Tom Rainey will enhance the former and Billy Martin will explode the latter, with Scott Colley soothing and stimulating the action on both sides. Then it’s a new Nu Diaspora outfit ready to enhance the boss’s “insight into the cantorial melodies” that he’s made his own through the last two decades. The walk-off homer may be Sexmob getting all Weimar on us with investigations into themes from ‘The Threepenny Opera.’ Since it’s the evening of spookiness on Saturday, expect some shadowy contempt as Jenny washes the floor and cold chills as MacHeath calls from the grave.

😎 Jason Statham is a British actor, producer, and former model best known for his roles in high-octane action films. Born in 1967 in Derbyshire, England, he worked as a street vendor and competitive diver before being discovered by Guy Ritchie, who cast him in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch (2000). These early performances showcased his dry wit and physical presence, launching a career defined by tough, no-nonsense characters who rely on hand-to-hand combat, car chases, and steely determination. Statham rose to international stardom through the Transporter series and later anchored major franchises including The Expendables, Fast & Furious, and the Meg films. His signature style—lean, athletic, and often deadpan—has made him a reliable leading man in action cinema, while occasional dramatic turns have shown range beyond pure spectacle. Off-screen he has maintained a relatively private life, focusing on his work and long-term relationship with model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
