Global Partnerships, Local Impact: DBN & German Bundestag Advance MSME Financing

The Development Bank of Nigeria hosted a Development Finance Roundtable with a high-level parliamentary delegation from the German Bundestag, led by Dr. Wolfgang Stefinger, in Lagos.

The dialogue reinforces the strength of our shareholders and funding partners — the Federal Government of Nigeria, World Bank, AfDB, KfW, AFD and EIB — who have collectively enabled DBN to address Nigeria's MSME financing gap.

With Nigeria home to 41 million MSMEs contributing >50% to GDP, the roundtable explored new avenues for Germany-Nigeria development Cooperation, Private Sector Capital Mobilisation, Green Financing and Job Creation

DBN has disbursed over N1.4 trillion by creating over 1 million MSME loans. Together with our partners, we remain committed to building a sustainable ecosystem for MSMEs.

The DBN team was led by Mrs. Ijeoma Ozulumba, Executive Director, Finance & Corporate Services
