6 days agoKeeping the 1km runs controlled sounds key; how do you find the right pace without slowing the whole event too much?
7 days agoGreat breakdown by Mitch. The biggest lesson I have learned working with hybrid athletes is managing the metabolic transition between the runs and the strength stations. If you redline your pace on the 1km runs, clearing that accumulated blood lactate while pushing the heavy sled becomes twice as taxing. Keeping the runs controlled and aerobic preserves your nervous system for the stations. Best of luck to everyone training hard at Virgin Active!
