a day agoMr. Garrett!!!! I could cry. We did theater together in high school and now he’s the theater teacher of that high school!!! Such a great guy.
4 days agoEw trying to take opportunities away from kids wanting to participate too is so gross you definitely thought you were. The teachers favorite
4 days ago🙌 every 10 years you gotta do The Sound of music with nuns down every aisle…150 nuns. 🤷🏻♀️ I don’t even care. I’ll travel the country as nun wrangler. Give kids opportunities! 🙌🏼
5 days agoMr. Garrett is a hero. He has changed so many lives and has saved more than a few. I had the privilege of teaching high school students for over thirty years and upon my retirement I began to hear the stories of how much the musicals and plays meant to students. I am forever grateful to every one of them, as they taught me so much more. What a gift. In 1980 I was cast in Godspell in Grade 12/13 and it changed my life. I made a promise to myself that I would return to my old high school and teach and produce Drama (and other subjects as well). Best thing I ever did. Best part: a significant number of my students went on to further studies and returned to the very classroom I taught in. Passing the baton to them after three decades fills me with such pride to this very day.
6 days agoAs a drama teacher I never turn kids away from the school show. Why dampen their enthusiasm for theatre ?
