A love letter to ceramics—and the fire that transforms them.

📍 Galerie Metzger, Johannesberg, Germany
📅 On view through November 1, 2026

Declaration of Love at Galerie Metzger (@galerie_metzger) celebrates the transformative possibilities of wood-firing, bringing together contemporary ceramic artists whose works reveal the unpredictable beauty of the process.

Featuring works by Uwe Löllmann, Nishihata Tadashi, Pascal Geoffroy (@pasc.geoffroy), and John Dix (@johndixstudio), the exhibition explores the relationship between material, surface, and fire. From Nishihata’s ash-glazed forms inspired by mountain landscapes to Geoffroy’s sculptural vessels and Dix’s distinctive functional forms, each piece bears the marks of a process shaped by both intention and chance.
