We asked Dauché, Kitana, and Myyon to imagine a genre entirely their own. Naturally, we got three very different answers. 😂
Somewhere between eclectic, Black electronic future pop, and Jeggae Tech, we were reminded just how much history, personality, and imagination can live inside a sound.
Kitana also brings up something worth remembering: electronic music has deep roots in Black communities, with Black and queer pioneers shaping house and techno into the sounds we know today.
And a special shoutout to Dom for becoming our impromptu beatboxer. None of that was planned. 😭
