Back at the studio, choosing buttons. One of those small details I care a great deal about. Most of our buttons are made from corozo, a beautiful natural material derived from the seeds of a palm tree native to South America. Sometimes called vegetable ivory, it has a wonderful density, a smooth feel and subtle variations that make each button a little different. I have always been drawn to the simple, functional shapes of traditional menswear buttons. We also occasionally use horn and bone, but never plastic. All our buttons are made in Italy, working with suppliers who help us understand where our materials come from. I believe that the smallest details deserve as much consideration as the garment itself.
