This year I kept hearing that making music is a chore. Too much time, too much practice; better to skip the hard part...
So we went to the data. Official surveys and statistical offices in a dozen countries; every figure checked against its source. Our first
@limbomusic/Research.
What we found:
- In the US, half of the adults who never learned an instrument wish they had (and half of those who gave up the guitar regret it).
- In Mexico, 80.5% of people who play, sing, or compose do it for fun.
The friction is real: time, money, lessons families cannot afford, the teenage years.
And at the other end, a catalog where 88% of tracks reach a thousand streams or fewer in a year.
We put it all in one report. 16 charts, 12 countries. Link in @limbomusic bio.
Human, after all.
