MAKE CALLS TO GET OUT THE VOTE IN LEGISLATIVE RACES

Full schedule for this weekend: https://tinyurl.com/legislativegotv

The volunteer energy, donor money and media attention in these midterms is overwhelmingly focused on the control of Congress, with the governor’s races far behind them. Very little will go towards the more than 6,000 state legislative seats that are on the ballot in November.

It’s unfortunate, because this is where so much of the governing that impacts our daily lives is done, covering everything from housing to education to the proliferation of data centers and automated license plate readers. These are also the folks who draw the district lines and make the election rules that will set the terms for 2028. And with our best-case scenario in Washington being a divided government, they’re the people we will be looking to for any major positive changes over the next two years.

But this lack of attention creates an opportunity for us to make a difference. The group of voters whose decisions will decide swing legislative seats is small, and they’re far less likely to have been inundated with ads or previous attempts at voter contact. Each additional call we make is likelier to be the tipping point here than anywhere else.

Rogan's List has pulled together a master list of phonebanks we can join in for the next few days to help win key legislative races! Check it out at tinyurl.com/legislativegotv.
