I truly believe that art is a reflection of your life. Art imitates life. And the artist attempts to replicate their life. The greatest piece of art anyone, even the artist can do is their soul. The soul is the gallery of all the moments of your life that truly lived. The soul holds all the joy experienced, the love, the kindness, the happiness you achieved despite all odds. Like the odds of grief, rejection, neglect, fear, anxiety. Those so-called negative emotions and events were just the set up for something greater. It is the artist's job, it is the job of art to inspire and document the wins of life over the so-called cruelty of life.

Thank you so much for sharing this! Totally agree!!! Soul had it on point!! (pointe? 😉🩰🤍) This also applies to my “day time job” in healthcare as healthcare workers, like artists (or if you consider the art of medicine as legit enough, we are artists in our own way) can also fall into the same trap. I made medicine my entire identity till I couldn’t anymore as my wellness and relationships began to suffer. Luckily that led me back to my first loves of music and dance 🦋🤍🩰🌸🎀 and I’m at the start of my career now trying to find some balance. It’s low-key a struggle though to be a young female in #pccm #womensupportingwomen
