To have a fulfilling life doesn’t necessarily mean having an extraordinary life but rather having an extraordinary character. Even if you choose to live a super ordinary life.
With social media it’s so easy to fall into wanting a lifestyle that just doesn’t suit you but it’s almost as if everyone else is aiming for it so it makes you think “maybe this should be my goal too”.
Having an ordinary life doesn’t make you less valuable or less interesting.
Having an ordinary character where you purposefully choose to stunt your personal growth for comfort does.
Pursue self betterment, even if you feel scared, shameful, guilty, unworthy, etc. It gets better.
I think for me the most interesting people I’ve met had what you’d call an “ordinary life”. What made them stand out though is who they were, how the saw the world, and how they treated others.
I’d be lying if I didn’t say I aim for an ordinary life just to be able to have time to build an extraordinary character.
