First Wednesday without The Challenge and wow, I’m really gonna miss this one. 🥹 When I first walked into that house, I wasn’t really vibing with anybody, and I’m pretty sure the feeling was mutual lol. Then somewhere along the way, those same people started to feel like family. I’ll cherish the friendships I made in that house forever. This season I showed more sides of myself than I was expecting to share. Y’all got to see me be competitive, loud, emotional, goofy, and everything in between. It takes guts to let people see all those sides of you, and I don’t regret giving you every single one. I’m proud of how I carried myself and how much I let myself be ME. I go on reality TV to win money (let’s be real 😂) and find my people. If you saw a little bit of yourself in me this season, in the good or the ugly, I’m glad we found each other. We’re multifaceted. We’re allowed to be a lot of things at once, and we’re meant to feel it all. You are not too much. You are not too loud. You are exactly who and what this world needs. @lsacastinggroup thank you for giving me a shot, to @bunimmurray thank you for a thrill of this lifetime, and to everyone who watched and rode with me every Wednesday. I’m so grateful I got to do this. ❤️ And if I get the call back? F you, I’ll probably be there 🤭 #thechallenge #paramountplus

I had the best day on the best day to be in the best city in the world. Can’t imagine a more meaningful way to mark my new relationship with running than to serve as run support for former Army Master Sergeant @cedrickingmsg — a purple-hearted double above-the-knee amputee due to stepping on an IED. A victory for me to just make it to the start, crossing the finish with Cedric was a peak never-will-I-forget life experience. Rewinding back a year and half, my spine surgeon said I should forget about running. Forget that, I thought. So, I baked up a plan and began plotting my way in. For the first seven months of my spinal fusion recovery, only slow walking. I began PT on month 8, with light strength training starting a few weeks after that. Since then, I’ve been in my home gym by the four o’clock hour, every single day aside from a handful of exceptions. To celebrate 1 year post-op, I ran my first mile, a slow one with @dan_churchill. From there, I patiently pursued a six-month relationship with my treadmill, careful to never push with a first-for-me less-is-best philosophy. As a consequence of caution, I can’t say I was exactly ready for the NYC marathon, as my run training consisted of two weekly 5-mile run-walks. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a go. And I’m delighted I did. The spine did fine. And despite my lack of aerobic conditioning, my body held up long enough to cross the finish line. Striding alongside Cedric is the how. Taking my strength from his kept me connected to my higher power. The why. While running again was my goal, Cedric confirmed that my purpose is service. Now 60 and now on the other side of my season of forced repose, I have greater clarity on what matters. Not so much about ego gratification anymore, what wakes me up is more giving of myself to other people. If you want a big and beautiful life, make it about something much larger than yourself. Thx @achilles_international for your incredible work. @joechura for recruiting me into this adventure & @cedrickingmsg for your strength, and infectious inspiration. And thank you NYC. You remain undefeated. You leave me hopeful. See you next year. ❤️ -r Still 📸 @rgosp
