Fall colors in Iowa haven’t peaked but will soon.
The Iowa DNR says autumn colors are still going strong across the WHOLE state!

🎃You can totally still squeeze in a leaf-peeping road trip this weekend.

So I picked a few of my favorite spots to see fall leaves in Iowa, collected over the past 6 years. 🧡

1️⃣ Pine Creek Grist Mill
at Wildcat Den State Park, Muscatine
2️⃣ Seminole Valley Park
right below Ushers Ferry in Cedar Rapids
3️⃣Backbone Beach
at Backbone State Park near Dundee/Strawberry Point
4️⃣ Ledges State Park
Madrid/Boone, Iowa
5️⃣ Yellow River Forest
this is the Paint Creek Unit down by the wildlife observation blind
6️⃣ Pikes Peak State Park
Mcgregor, the best colors are at the overlook
7️⃣ Arrowhead Park
Neola, canoeing and cabins out here
8️⃣ Dutton’s Cave Park
West Union, add this on to Pikes Peak and Yellow River
9️⃣ Briggs Woods
Webster City, add this on to Ledges
1️⃣0️⃣ Hitchcock Nature Center
Honey Creek, in the Loess Hills
