Since my little sister passed, we haven’t really celebrated these last three years. It’s been really weird but We’ve just been trying to cope, learning how to live with someone we love missing from our lives.

But lately, God has been reminding me that everything He has for us is already written. I’m learning to embrace the moments we’re given and make room for joy, even while I’m grieving. There’s no timeline for healing, but I know I can celebrate her life while still missing her.

My sister was a butterfly. Her spirit, her energy, everything about her was beautiful. 🦋

I wasn’t supposed to work today, but after accidentally double-booking, I arranged for my client to come in. That appointment gave me a moment to create, reflect, and pour my love into something beautiful. I decided to recreate a style I once did on my little sister…with a new twist.

This butterfly barrel twist updo holds a little piece of her. A reminder that even through loss, there is still beauty to create, love to give, and life to celebrate.
