The Holy Martyr Longinus the Centurion and the Saints of the Orthodox Church
Today we honour Saint Longinus the Centurion, who witnessed the Crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ and confessed Him as the Son of God.
We also commemorate Saint John, Metropolitan of Tobolsk; Venerable Longinus of the Kyiv Caves and Longinus of Yarenga; Saint Gall; Confessor George Troitsky; Hieromartyrs Eugene, Alexis and John; and all the other saints and martyrs remembered today.
May their holy examples strengthen our faith, and may their prayers intercede for us before our Lord Jesus Christ.
🕊️ A Prayer for Protection
Lord Jesus Christ, protect my beloved, his family, and everyone dear to my heart. Keep them safe from danger, especially all those living through war. Guard their homes, preserve their lives, and surround them with Your divine mercy.
Most Holy Theotokos, cover them with Your holy protection. Pray for their safety, comfort those who suffer, and intercede for peace.
🕯️ A Prayer for the Departed
Lord, grant rest to the souls of my departed loved ones and all who have fallen asleep in the hope of the Resurrection. Forgive their sins and grant them eternal peace in Your heavenly Kingdom.
Holy Martyr Longinus, Saint John of Tobolsk, all the venerable fathers, holy martyrs, confessors and saints commemorated today, pray for us to the Lord Jesus Christ.
